After publishing Now and then: Poems about generations, we conducted a survey on how our writers experienced the process of editing poetry for the anthology. How can we develop a poem from a small bare-bones start? Here are some simple steps which can build a poem into a richer more fully-imagined piece. Of course, sometimes we want to stay with the very small poem, but these ideas may be useful if you want to move on from that.
